Essay:
Allama Iqbal
Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a great poet, philosopher, and thinker. He is known as the “Poet of the East”. He was born on 9th November 1877 in Sialkot. He was a very intelligent and hardworking student.
He wrote many beautiful poems in Urdu and Persian. His poetry is full of passion, love for Islam, and messages to make people strong and brave. He wanted Muslims to rise, get educated, and become united.
One of his most famous poems is “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua Ban Ke Tamanna Meri”, which is still read in schools today. His poetry gives us hope and courage.
Allama Iqbal gave the idea of a separate country for Muslims. He dreamed of a free Muslim state, and that dream later became Pakistan. For this, he is called “Mufakkir-e-Pakistan” (The Thinker of Pakistan).
He passed away on 21st April 1938, before Pakistan was made, but his ideas helped create our country. We celebrate Iqbal Day on 9th November every year in his memory.
Allama Iqbal is our national poet, and we are proud of him. His poems and ideas still inspire us today.
